     No one before LAURENCE CHERNIAK has photographically recorded and written about these historical, fundatmental landscapes of society, for the specific purpose of adding to, the empty shelves in our (before these books) library on human behaviour. Such information has always been considered taboo and (as) a very dangerous aspect of human behaviour. At this time, October 2008, Book 2 is the most rare of the three books in this first trilogy.

      LAURENCE CHERNIAK has inspired, virtually every author/photographer who has published any works attempting to do what Mr. CHERNIAK has succeeded at.

      While the works of others has been commendable and further establishes Mr. CHERNIAK as the world's greatest, inspirational, photo-journalist on this subject, not one single individual,  has yet (in the last 30 years, since Mr. CHERNIAK's 1st book in this trilogy) travelled to, at least, Morocco, Lebanon Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal to photograph and write about these aspects which have contributed tremendously to our library on human behaviour.

      If not for these books there would still be a dark void about this mysterious product. Thanks to the inspirational photos and texts, in Mr. CHERNIAK's books, the hashish culture (that we have seen re-birthed in the last 30 years), displaying the fine and rare product that it can be and is, would still be waiting to be discovered.

      Mr. CHERNIAK is a perfect, typical example of how to succeed at anything, with a little bit of ingenuity and lots of love. Through his magic lantern he shares with us, how to use modern (times, travel, photography methods, penmanship re: obtaining the rewards of skillful communications). Thanks to his discoveries we can build on bringing forward, into the modern world, for all to share, the genuine ancient wisdoms which lead to the profoundest ways of spiritual existence. As we all know, in these days, just as it always has been, patient and loving research can manifest itself into discovering the truth about anything we wish to know more about.

Book 2 has over 550 color photographs, showing the Cannabis Cultures in 11 countries. It has (more color photographs, than any other book on this subject, outside of this trilogy. Book 3 has over 1,600 photos). This book has inspired hundreds of other books about growing marijuana. Dozens of writers have taken or adapted the information from this book which was published in 1984. Not one of any of those books, since 1984, has displayed as many photos which detail how people grow the best Sinsemilla.

From a photographic and textual point of view there still is nothing that can match Book 2 for being so comprehensive. This is another of the reasons why this 2nd book in the trilogy, as a part of the The Great Books of Hashish Trilogy, are the most informative, educational and entertaining books on the subject - regarding pulling back the shroud of mystery and darkness that has hidden this realm from most of the world until these photos and stories were published.

Book 2 in this series enjoys the distinction of being in a very rare category which is noted by its prices for a used (Harcover copy) ranging up to over US$1,000.00 as seen on this page. The soft cover 1st edition is sold out. We only have a very limited quantity (less than 25 copies) of the Hardcover edition left from the 1st print run and we sell it for much, much less.

It is a fascinating book with 550 color photos which would be the equivalent (in the days of photographic film only before 2000) to be 15 rolls of 36 exposures. Yes, it is available. We have less than 25 copies left in the hard cover edition.
